Once again, we had the honor to shoot two of our new costumes with the legendary Sarah from House of Pictures. I want to thank Maria for modeling our Mary Tudor dress, inspired by Showtime's "The Tudors" costume. She was born to wear this dress and hence it is now hers. Maria is my sister at heart and there is no one better to put our deep friendship in pictures, than Sarah. Thank you both so much! It was a magical experience.
I had the honor, to be part of the Cosplay Contest at the German Comic Con in Dortmund and who would have thought, that a dress could make the 2nd place? People still underestimate the work behind a sewn costume, but it is wonderful to get some appreciation from the Jury. Also a huge thanks to The Hillywood Show for being such kind and competent jurors!
Today I want to share the pictures, the amazing Sarah from House of Pictures took of me in my very first (and yet unfinished) Renaissance creation. It is inspired by a portrait of Elizabeth I, by Steven van der Meulen. Countless hours of work already went into this dress, all the diamond shaped holes are branded in by hand, the golden decor-lines are all embroidered, the pattern adapted from an original historical pattern, the bodice is boned with spiral steel boning, the shoulders, aswell as skirt waistline are padded for a better stand and yet there is still so much more to be done.
We had the honor to step inside the magnificent Castle of Basedow (usually no visitors are allowed inside) and we were accompanied by the German regional TV channel ''NeuEins'. The Video Clip is in German, but I encourage you to check it out. No photo could ever show how this dress sparkles in the light.
